Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration Administrator Anne Ferro will be in Greene County, TN on Thursday for the Commercial Motor Vehicle Safety Technology Showcase. The event will take place at the FMCSA’s official Roadside Technology Corridor along Interstate 81. Ferro will view the newest technologies designed to improve the on-road performance of commercial buses and trucks. One demonstration features a prototype of the Smart Infrared Inspection System that detects commercial vehicle brake, wheel and tire problems. The agency’s goal is to have a series of specially equipped testing facilities at various locations to showcase safety technologies under real-world conditions, all in the name of bus and truck safety.
