Zero-Waste-to-Landfill achieved by Thomas Built Buses

High Point, NC-based Thomas Built Buses has become the first school bus manufacturer to reach a Zero-Waste-to-Landfill operation. The term means that everything produced or received by the company is used, reused, recycled or sold, with nothing going to a landfill. It’s been a team effort. Thomas employees identified the best options for reducing waste and recycling materials, whether reusing cartons for shipping or reclaiming solvents. Daimler AG initiated the Zero-Waste-to-Landfill goal. For more, visit www.thomasbus.com.
