Van Hool planning manufacturing expansion

As part of a long-term strategy to secure their current position in the American marketplace, ABC Companies’ long-time partner, Van Hool, is planning a capital project that will expand manufacturing capabilities beyond their current Belgium location. The company’s decision is driven solely by their commitment to invest in American distribution of products that are designed to offer North American operators consistent long-term pricing, greater scalability, as well as reduced cycle time from order to delivery.

“ABC is proud to support and share the long-term vision of our valued Van Hool partner,” said Dane Cornell, president and CEO, ABC Companies. “The commitment to expanding production capabilities directly correlates with growing U.S. demand for European technology that enables American operators to continuously evolve and innovate fleet operations.”

Van Hool is a Belgian independent bus, coach and industrial vehicle manufacturer. The company, established in 1947, is based in Koningshooikt. The vast majority of the vehicles produced are destined for Europe and America. Van Hool employs more than 4,000 people worldwide, most of whom work in the manufacturing plants in Koningshooikt and Bree.

ABC Companies is a leading provider to the transportation industry with diverse product and service offerings that cover a full spectrum of operational needs including new and pre-owned full size highway coach equipment, mid-size shuttle transport vehicles, and advanced design heavy duty transit equipment.

It’s a good thing that Van Hool are planning this, besides they should introduce more of the EDM (European Domestic Model) Coaches in the USA, such as that one demo that ABC Companies had of Van Hool’s T919/920 Altano.
