Tauck Tours wins Innovative Prize honor

Norwalk, CT-based Tauck Tours has received the 2010 Connecticut Quality Improvement Award Partnerships Innovative Prize. The annual award recognizes the accomplishments of Connecticut-based companies and encourages innovation of quality programs. The company’s new Culturious tours focused on Boomer-aged customers includes trips to Italy, France, Costa Rica and Africa. More than the usual vacation, Culturious tours feature interactive, hands-on learning experiences, independent sightseeing, along with cycling and hiking adventures.

Tauck CEO Dan Mahar says Culturious has helped redefine the concept of guided land tours by taking the benefits of escorted tours and redesigning them for Boomer Generation travelers. Tauck Tours will receive the award October 29 at the 23rd annual Connecticut Quality Improvement Award Conference on Quality and Innovation, to be held in Westbrook, CT. 1. @admin: I must say your blog is the first I’ve come across today that doesn’t have typos every other line. Thanks for taking the time to construct something that doesn’t look like a 5th grader put together. I apologize, just had to vent.
