The Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) has awarded more than $1.6 million through its new Ohio Transit Preservation Partnership Program for Metro to purchase five “mini-hybrid” buses.
Metro’s first five new “mini-hybrid” buses will go into service this week.
Beginning this month, Southwest Ohio Regional Transit Authority (SORTA) Metro, which serves the greater Cincinnati area, says its newly installed fareboxes will accept new 30-day rolling passes that replace the current calendar-month-only passes. The new fareboxes replaced 17-year-old technology.
