Foxwoods Casino shows motorcoach savvy

Four separate coach segments accommodate customers, operators and drivers

The motorcoach and tour industries bring no less than 20 million annual passengers to the Foxwoods Resort Casino.

The Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation is fully in tune with the tremendous role the motorcoach industry plays in bringing customers and vacationers to its Foxwoods Resort Casino in Mashantucket, CT.  The company demonstrates its industry savvy through its daily operation of four separate motorcoach segments so as to avoid any confusion.

Daily line runs
Established daily routes through the major cities in the Northeast from Maine to New Jersey bring in 40 motorcoach arrivals daily. Each coach makes an average of five stops along each route and proceeds to Foxwoods for a minimum five-hour stay. Foxwoods chooses its pickup points for convenience, free parking availability and a well-lit safe environment. The average ticket price is $25 with Foxwoods extending a complimentary $30 bonus package upon arrival.

Group charters

Everyone gets in on the act to promote group charters to the casino. Group leaders, motorcoach operators and tour operators promote and sell group business to senior centers, civic organizations, businesses and corporations, as well as leisure travelers.

Their efforts by these divisions result in approximately 22 daily motorcoach charters coming in from across the country, but primarily the Northwest. Coach passengers arriving for an extended visit stay and relax in a host of luxurious hotels that surround the casino. Each charter tour guest receives a $25 complimentary package, while the trip organizers receive rewards based on platinum, gold and silver status levels.

Foxwoods says its 5-Star greeter service in the recently renovated bus lobby sets the company apart from its competition. The no-smoking lobby features new seating, flat screen TVs and concierge and reservation services.

While the guests are enjoying themselves the coach operators and drivers are not overlooked. Foxwoods says it regards its association with the coach and tour industries as a valued partnership and works closely all operators, inviting them regularly to the resort for shows, dinners and overnight stays.

The Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation knows the importance of its motorcoaches.

Serving the Asian communities
Foxwoods works with travel agents to sell tickets and assign VIP seating for highend players throughout the Asian communities in New York and Massachusetts. The ride to the casino is upscale with an onboard host for this special transportation. Foxwoods says it caters to more than 900,000 Asian players annually through this exclusive coach service.

With the motorcoach and tour industry bringing no less than 20 million annual passengers, the resort says the busiest carriers are Peter Pan Bus Lines, Land Jet, Conway and Tremblays Motorcoach.
