The Chicago Transit Authority has received a $1.6 million grant from the federal government to use for shortening commuting times on its north-south crosstown trips. According to the Chicago Tribune, the Federal Transportation Association money is given in the hopes a special express bus service will speed up CTA’s western corridor routes.
