Veolia Transportation wins renewal contract in Butte County

Regional Vice President Ron Bushman announced today that the Butte County Association of Governments (BCAG) Board of Directors unanimously voted to award Veolia Transportation a new renewal contract. This new five year contract began July 1, 2012 and has two one-year options.

In their recommendations to the board, BCAG staff complimented Veolia on their high level of service and acknowledged the strong partnership between the agency and the company.

“We are very excited to continue our long standing relationship with the BCAG,” Bushman said. “We have worked together with them to build a safe, sustainable transportation system that will benefit local residents for many years to come.”

Veolia has been the service operator for BCAG, providing both fixed route and paratransit service, for over 25 years. The company employs approximately 110 local workers and operates 80 vehicles.
