Police shut down four unlicensed NYC coaches

The New York Police Department (NYPD) decommissioned four unlicensed motorcoaches last week, the NY Daily News reports. The coaches, operated by New Oriental Tours Inc., were carrying riders from Flushing to Manhattan’s Chinatown for $1 per customer.

The NYPD confiscated the buses, and the New York Taxi and Limousine Commission issued 31 violations to New Oriental Tours.

According to the NY Daily News, the company says it owns 20 coaches and admitted to operating without a license.
