Triangle Transit launches Wi-Fi equipped buses

North Carolina-based Triangle Transit launched two new buses in February fully equipped with Wi-Fi. The new service is an answer to requests from passengers from a number of Triangle Transit surveys.

“Given that we serve a tech-savvy region, we believe that Wi-Fi service makes good sense,” said Triangle Transit General Manager David King.

Earlier in 2011, Triangle introduced Google Transit for customers. The online service provides another option for finding starting and destination points, planning trips using a familiar tool. Triangle will add real-time information at bus stops later this year. For more, visit www.triangletransit.org.
