Toronto bus passengers urged not to take photos

In the wake of a number of photos taken by passengers of Toronto bus drivers texting while driving, the Toronto Transit Commission is urging riders to stop trying to get so-called gotcha moments showing wrongdoing. According to the Waterloo Region Record, at least three photos were made public last week of TTC drivers texting while operating a transit bus. A TTC spokesperson says the photos are not needed to discipline drivers, adding that confronting drivers could escalate a situation. The TTC is urging riders who spot apparent bad driver behavior to note the bus number, route and time and date of the occurrence, then report it. Texting on Ontario, Canada roads has been prohibited since October 2009. For more, visit www.therecord.com.
