Prevost leads industry market share

The economy may remain sluggish, but Prevost is thriving.

The latest motorcoach industry report reveals Prevost holds the industry lead in market share for overall coach sales for the second straight quarter.

The quarterly report from National Bus Trader publisher, Larry Plachno, reveals that in the third quarter of 2011, Prevost held the market share lead for coach sales in the motorcoach industry. In the second quarter of 2011, Prevost also held the industry market share lead.

Prevost was the only manufacturer to have three different coach models in the report’s list of most popular models. The Prevost X3-45 is the second best-selling coach, the Prevost H3-45 is the third best-selling coach, and the Volvo 9700 is the sixth best-selling coach in the industry.

  1. The tradition of Nth American quality continues. It shows the industry prefers quality, durability and reliability. No useless overhang, huge luggage capacity, integrated high performance hvac. Explains why scania, man, mercedes are NOT wanted in the Nth American market. Even Van Hool & Setra had to redesign their coaches for USA & Canada!! Plus the reliability and durability of Nth American Driveline. Even Volvo has to admit that Van Hool has to be retained and not closed down and converted into a B10M assembly plant.
