HART begins in Hartsville
On Monday, Hartsville, SC had a shiny new bus service called HART. According to The Messenger, the HART service, provided by Pee Dee Regional Transportation Authority (PDRTA), is designed to give Hartsville residents a new travel option for getting to work, school, medical appointments, shopping and recreation. Hartsville residents gave input during public meetings on the type of service they needed.
The Pee Dee Regional Transportation Authority is providing free rides to everyone during the first week of operation, Oct. 3-7. HART will begin with a 20-passenger vehicle as a primary bus and a 14-person bus as a back-up. Both vehicles are WiFi equipped.
