Packers fans win with Green Bay Metro Transit play

Fans of the Super Bowl Champion Green Bay Packers will now be able to travel free to and from home games at famed Lambeau Field via Green Bay Metro Transit. The agency has established four new routes on game days to serve Lambeau Field, Austin Straubel International Airport, along with residential and metro areas. The route names have football themes: Lambeau Leap, Cheesehead, QB Sneak and Quick Slant.

Green Bay Metro buses will run five hours before each game and three hours afterward, and will run until 1 a.m. after Packers night games. Lambeau Field is the only N.F.L. stadium that is not serviced by public transit on game days.

Green Bay Metro officials hope the free rides will encourage local residents to take public transit on a regular basis. The rides will be offered to those not attending the games. For more, visit www.greenbaymetro.org.
