MCI Service Centers offers free Federal DOT Inspections through June 5

With a commitment to highway safety, MCI Service Centers will be offering free Federal DOT inspections from now until June 5. The service is designed to help motor coach operators comply with Roadcheck, the commercial vehicle inspection event taking place June 3-5 across the U.S. No appointment is necessary, but is appreciated; operators can call 888-912-9983.

Sponsored by the Commercial Vehicle Safety Association, with participation by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration and others, Roadcheck is the nation’s largest targeted enforcement program for commercial vehicles, with an average of about 14 trucks or buses being inspected every minute. About 10,000 CVSA-certified local, state and federal inspectors will be dispatched to about 1,500 locations around the country.

“Most times, we can complete the check within a two-hour window and provide paperwork on what needs to be repaired or issue a DOT inspection decal if everything checks out,” said Patrick McGuire, vice president of MCI Service Centers. “A Federal DOT inspections isn’t required in all states, but either way, the inspections assure your coach is in compliance with DOT standards. As a trusted resource to operators,service is designed to provide peace-of-mind, and  maximum uptime.”

The MCI Service Center commitment to customers includes MCI’s ReliaDrive guarantee, providing same-day diagnostics, accurate estimates, fixed-right-the-first-time repairs, and a six-month parts and labor warranty on MCI and Setra coaches. If MCI fails to meet any of these standards, customers receive a free oil change on their next visit.

MCI Service Centers’ mobile maintenance units near Los Angeles, Orlando and the greater New York and New Jersey area are another benefit to coach customers. The units, manned by expert MCI technicians and loaded with parts, travel from their nearest MCI Service Center to serve customers Monday through Friday and are on call 24 hours a day.
