Indra says its Computer Aided Dispatch and Automatic Vehicle Location solutions will soon provide Chatham Area Transit (CAT) commuters with an enhanced transit experience with unprecedented efficiency and ridership safety.
Indra’s technology will allow CAT, Savannah, GA, to instantly determine a vehicle’s location, make real-time decisions and to optimize its fleet. CAT riders will be able to obtain real-time data including information about their next stops, transfers to other lines, unexpected incidents and estimated travel times.
CAT staff will also rely on the system’s fully integrated onboard video surveillance, allowing images from the bus to be viewed, transmitted and recorded in real time.
