Blizzard halts East Coast bus transportation

What’s being called the Holiday Blizzard of 2010 has caused havoc for bus operators in the Northeast. Megabus.com cancelled all bus service at its New York, Philadelphia and Washington, D.C. hubs until at least 4 p.m. on Monday. Booked passengers are getting refunds and reservation changes. A number of passengers have been forced to sleep overnight in bus terminals. Meanwhile, BoltBus cancelled all Monday service. BoltBus officials on the company website said a decision on Tuesday service would be finalized Monday afternoon. According to The New York Times, New York City Transit received more than 400 reports of buses stuck in the snow. Up to two feet of snow has blanketed the East Coast, paralyzing all transportation.
