Virginia residents can now sign up to pledge to a new form or transit during the third-annual Try Transit Week, which will be held throughout the state from September 20-24. For the third straight year the Virginia Department of Rail and Public Transportation (DRPT) has conjoined with transit operators across the Commonwealth to highlight the positive benefits of using the state’s more than 300 bus transit partners. The special week underscores the money saved and the economic benefits or using the wide variety of transit options. Each person making a pledge is automatically entered to win two round-trip tickets on Amtrak Virginia and a one-year transit pass for the operator of the winner’s choice.
