SORTA Board welcomes two new trustees

 

The Southwest Ohio Regional Transit Authority (SORTA) Board of Trustees welcomed two new members during its Tuesday evening meeting. Mr. Trenton Emeneker will represent Butler County on the board, and Ms. Krista Lewis will represent Warren County.

Mr. Emeneker is a project management and operations consultant living in West Chester Township and a member of the United States Marine Corps Reserve. His experience also includes several years with General Electric. He earned his bachelor’s in economics from Furman University, as well as his MBA and MA in international affairs from Columbia University.

Ms. Lewis is Vice President of Finance at Mason-based business solutions and IT recruitment agency, Vernovis. She previously served as an accountant for Family Motors. She earned her bachelor’s in accounting at Colorado State University and an MBA from Miami University.

Mr. Emeneker and Ms. Lewis were sworn in during Tuesday evening’s meeting. Both were appointed by the Hamilton County Board of Commissioners and hold non-voting seats on the board.

SORTA is governed by a 16-member, volunteer citizens’ board of trustees. Hamilton County leaders appoint 10 members, and Cincinnati city leaders appoint six. Three of the county’s appointees are non-voting trustees representing Butler, Clermont and Warren counties.
