Obama to receive TEN personal letters

More than 1,000 personal letters from members of the Transportation Equity Network (TEN) with personal stories of why transit funding is crucial to their communities are being written, and will be packaged and sent to President Obama soon. The organization is asking the President to support transit investments to build a more just, prosperous and connected America. TEN’s four-goal platform includes economic growth for all through access to transportation-related jobs; access to opportunity through increased funding for mass transit; accountability in government through increased community input; and sustainable development through smart and equitable growth.
