MTA New York City Transit has contracted with Prevost for the coach maker to manufacture 90, 57-passenger X3-45 motor express coaches. The first coach will be delivered in July, with the remaining 89 coaches expected to be delivered between October and January 2012. The contract also includes structural integrity testing, tailpipe emission profile testing and training. The new X3-45’s feature fast-front kneeling, revised driver controls for transit bus operations and a sliding wheelchair lift door. Visit www.prevostcar.com.
