MV Transportation, Inc., the largest U.S.-based, privately-owned transportation contracting firm, has finalized its first contract outside of North America. MV Transportation has appointed a general manager and an operations manager to serve as the local management team and will have them in place before the end of February. The team will be responsible for the successful operation of Earadat’s passenger transportation system, a 416 bus operation providing transportation for Saudi Arabian Oil Company’s employees. In addition, the MV team will train Saudi Arabian citizens to assume management once MV’s contract has ended.

“It is an honor to be chosen for this important partnership with such a distinguished company,” said Carter Pate, CEO of MV Transportation. “For MV this is the first step into a new market full of opportunities and we look forward to expanding our partnership with Earadat Transportation and other equally reputable partners throughout the Middle East.”

Since 2008 MV Transportation has worked on a similar project for a Bechtel/Jacobs Joint Venture, representing Motiva Enterprises in its Port Arthur, Texas Crude Expansion Project. MV manages employee transportation for nearly 2,500 construction workers each day.

MV Transportation, Inc. employs more than 16,000 transit professionals and operates more than 200 paratransit, fixed-route, shuttle and Medicaid contracts in 29 states, the District of Columbia, Canada and Saudi Arabia.
