MTA New York City Transit has named Darryl Irick to be its new Senior Vice President of Buses, President of MTA Bus Company and President MTA Long Island Bus. Irick has been the acting head of the MTA’s bus divisions since late last year. Irick took the place of Joe Smith who announced his retirement.
Irick will oversee improvement such as Select Bus Service and the launch of MTA Bus Time, which provides real-time bus location information. Irick began his NYC Transit career in 1986 as a bus operator. For more, visit www.mta.info.com.
