Little Rock Tours adds new MCI J4500

Arkansas-based Little Rock Tours and Travel has built a thriving tour and charter business in just a few short years, with the owners drawing on their former careers in television news to craft trips that are lively, informative and, often, rich in videos and other extras. Part of that winning formula is providing coaches that are stylish, modern and plush. Case in point: the company’s newest MCI J4500, added this spring.

A fast-track model with standard bells and whistles including flat-screen video monitors, tiered theatre seating and LED lighting, plus performance features including an optimized powertrain for better fuel economy, the 2014 J4500 complements Little Rock Tours’ mostly-MCI fleet.

“We’ve put 14,000 miles on the coach since March,” said Cary Martin, president of the company he owns with his wife, Gina. “It’s been coast to coast. It thrills passengers and turns heads going down the street.”

Little Rock Tours is part of Eventure America Inc., with 16 vehicles in all. The Martins’ entrepreneurial spirit has led them to not only pursue tour, charter and convention work, but also to create events such as murder mystery dinners staged inside a local museum. They also built a thriving Razorbacks game business based on word of mouth, with one road trip selling 300 packages in three days. Their tours often incorporate Martin-made video presentations that serve to give passengers a deeper understanding of the attractions they are visiting. It’s ideas like those that earned Little Rock Tours a place in the Arkansas Small Business Hall of Fame.
