A Kansas City Area Transportation Authority (KCATA) bus carrying 12 passengers clipped a car, flipped over and rolled down a hill Wednesday night, the Kansas City Star reports. According to KMOX NewsRadio, the Platte County crash injured 16 people altogether.
Reports indicate that slick roads had much to do with the collision, which occurred northwest of Kansas City, MO. A car had pulled out in front of the bus, investigators told reports. When the bus driver attempted to avoid the car, the bus clipped it and rolled down an embankment.
“The accident will be thoroughly investigated and KCATA is cooperating with KCPD to determine the cause,” KCATA General Manager Mark Huffer said in a written statement. “Thankfully, there appear to be no life-threatening injuries’
