GO Transit passengers receiving E-News messages

GO Transit riders now receive text message  on service changes and route updates. The Toronto, ON, Canada company sends E-News messages to a customer’s mobile device, allowing the subscriber to select a train line, station or bus route. The E-News reminders include information on service improvements, new schedules, service updates and news of interest to passengers. The messages can be customized to particular times of the day, such as morning or afternoon-peak periods. GO Transit officials say more than 62,000 people have signed up for the E-News service since 2005. Customers can subscribe free by logging on at www.gotransit.com/enews.
