Georgia Transit Day set for Wednesday

Officials from the Georgia Department of Transportation, Georgia Transit Association, Livable Communities Coalition and the Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority will host Georgia Transit Day 2010 on September 8. Politicians, civic leaders and the business community come together for a special day to remind Georgia residents of the importance of the state’s transportation network. Marking the day will be a statewide webcast with a panel of transit leaders. Results of a poll showing public support for new and expanded transit service as part of the 2012 transportation referendum will also be released. For more, visit www.thegta.org.
