Escot Bus named Operator of the Year at annual IMG conference

Escot Bus Lines of Orlando, FL was announced “Operator of the Year” during the 15th Annual International Motorcoach Group (IMG) Awards Banquet sponsored by Prevost and Allison Transmissions at the Nicollet Pavilion in Minneapolis, MN on August 9th.

IMG bestows the title of “Operator of the Year” to a motor-coach operator who has exemplified community involvement, active IMG involvement, and exceptional customer service. It is the most prestigious honor given within the organization.

This year’s recipients, Brian Scott, president, and his sister Pam (Scott) Claxito, vice president, were truly surprised and honored as they accepted the award on behalf of their family-owned business. They were so moved by this recognition that they called their father, Lou Scott, on stage. Escot Bus Lines was started by Lou and Diane Scott in 1983 with two mini-buses.

Over the years, the company has successfully expanded their fleet to 16 transit buses and 45 motor-coaches. Nearly one-third of their motor-coaches are Prevost, including their most recent additions of four H3-45’s which are all equipped with wheel chair lifts, three-point seatbelts and electronic destination signs.

Prevost Vice President, New Coach Sales, Robert Goodnight, believes ESCOT’s “class of operation and willingness to go above and beyond to provide safe and quality services to their customer base” is what makes them a top notch organization and very deserving of the 15th Annual IMG Operator of the Year Award.
