CTA to sell some naming rights

The financially-strapped Chicago Transit Authority is seeking bids for corporate naming rights for various assets, including CTA’s Bus Tracker and Train Tracker, the Holiday Train and New Year’s Eve penny rides. According to the Chicago Tribune, the search is being conducted through IMG, a business development consultant. All bids are due by noon on April 20. So far CTA officials have set a value on individual sponsorships.

Sponsorship contracts for the Holiday Train, penny rides and free rides for Chicago Public School students on the first day of school are for three years and CTA Bus and Train Tracker contracts are for one year, the Tribune reports.
