Beaver County Transit Authority workers reject contract

Some 58 bus drivers, mechanics and service workers at Pennsylvania’s Beaver County Transit Authority have turned down the latest offer for a contract. The workers, represented by Amalgamated Transit Union Local 1743, voted to reject the proposal on Sunday.

According to the Beaver County Times, the latest three-year contract with the union members expired at the end of 2010. Currently, there is no indication that service will be disrupted in the next few days. There are no negotiations planned.
