Armored buses await Obama, Biden, 2012 candidates

For the 2012 Presidential election season, President Obama and other high-profile government officials and candidates will be traveling the country meeting voters in customized armored buses. The Secret Service has added two armored buses to its fleet. According to TheHill.com, the customized buses – each costing $1.1 million – will be used by the President, Vice President Joe Biden and other president candidates on the 2012 campaign trail. The buses will not feature political logos since they are government issued. The Secret Service plans to get at least ten years of service from the buses. As reported by Talking Points Memo, the buses are being manufactured by the Hemphill Brothers Coach Co. of Whites Creek, TN. For more, visit www.thehill.com.
