The fully accessible, low-floor buses provide single 39-inch wide entries with bi-fold ramps. The ramp offers a gentle slope that is easy to ascend independently, even for those using mobility devices. The Spirit of Mobility’s full air-ride suspension includes a kneeling feature allowing for a 1:6 ramp slope and an entrance of less than five inches from the curb without deploying the ramp. Alternatively, the Spirit of Freedom utilizes the Ford spring suspension and offers a 1:5 ramp slope, which exceeds the current ADA-regulation.
The spacious 97-inchwide interior presents ample space for wheelchair maneuverability and the theater seating provides premium viewing for all riders. These buses are available in gasoline, CNG, and propane. With a 21-seated passenger and six wheelchair capacity, the Spirit of Mobility and Spirit of Freedom are excellent options for a variety of service types, including demand-response or fixed route.
