The American Bus Association has named the Sesquicentennial of the First Battle of Manassas as one of the top events in America for 2011. The ABA’s 29th annual list of Top 100 events in North America is released and published in the September/October issue of Destinations magazine. The 150th commemoration of the Civil War’s First Battle of Manassas is scheduled for July 21-24. The Top Canadian event is “The Magic of Lanterns,” set for September 9 through October 30. The list is an important guide for professional travel planners, and highlights parades, festivals, fairs and other shows across North America. The shows and events are not ranked.
