Florida-based Broward County Transit has ordered 50 new articulated buses from North American Bus Industries, Anniston, AL. The new vehicles, which will be both 40- and 60-foot models, will bring BCT’s fleet to 170. Delivery of the vehicles has begun.
The new buses feature clean-burning diesel engines, Wi-Fi capability and individual charging stations for customer laptops and other electronic devices.
Broward County Transit serves a 410-mile service area in south Florida.
