A federal bankruptcy judge appointed a Seattle bankruptcy attorney to oversee the personal Chapter 11 bankruptcy filing of Frederick Darren Berg, who owns MTR Western, one of the largest luxury charter motorcoach companies in the country. According to the “Puget Sound Business Journal,” attorney Diana Carey is now monitoring all of Berg’s companies, including MTR Western. The “Journal” reports that Berg has signed over operations of MTR to Carey. Berg has operated a fleet of high profile tan buses that have served such clients as Microsoft, the NFL’s Seattle Seahawks and various rock performers. Berg’s motorcoaches also provided charter service for Washington Governor Chris Gregoire’s 2008 reelection campaign. For more, visit www.seattle.bizjournals.com.
