Micro Bird Inc. used BusCon to launch the G5, a new ROUSH liquid-propane powered duel rear wheel drive vehicle. The 25-passenger Micro Bird G5 has a capacity of 43 usable gallons of fuel and has a range of 320 miles. ROUSH Vice President Todd Mouw says the G5 will significantly reduce an operator’s costs as well as producing cleaner emissions. Also, since the G5 has no additional weight added like some other alternative fuel options, the vehicle’s stopping distance and brake wear will be comparable to a gasoline or diesel vehicle. Micro Bird is a joint venture company owned by Blue Bird Corporation, located in Fort Valley, GA. ROUSH is based in Livonia, MI. For more, visit www.roush.com.
