This week, customers of CTTransit in New Haven and Stamford, CT are riding on new articulated buses. The state’s Department of Transportation added 25 new 60-foot “bendy buses” to the agency’s fleet for Greater New Haven and Stamford. With its accordion-like midsection, the new vehicles have the ability to make turns like a 40-foot bus. The new vehicles seat up to 57 passengers, with an additional capacity of 63 standing riders.
