The problem with Transit offering service outside the transit realm is everywhere. The transit authority in our NW PA county steps all over private transportation. Any complaints from Small Business goes unheard. I have a problem with any state and/or federally funded enterprise running private enterprise competition. What that amounts to is that we pay taxes to support the enterprise that takes our business away. It sounds STUPID on our part but we are powerless and it is so much easier for transit to spend someone else's money with the politicians there to see that it gets done! Duh!?!?
